Job description

We are seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Property Manager to support a couple based in the West Village, New York City, with household management, logistics, light administration, and property coordination. This role requires on-site presence a few days per week, providing practical support in a calm, private residence with no children. The right candidate is detail-oriented, discreet, resourceful, and comfortable independently managing property-related tasks and local errands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee property upkeep, basic maintenance requests, and coordinate with building staff and service providers (e.g., cleaners, vendors, repair professionals).
  • Manage household logistics including scheduling appointments, deliveries, supplies, and small repairs.
  • Run local errands in the West Village and around New York City (e.g., purchasing supplies, handling returns, accepting deliveries).
  • Track ongoing maintenance needs, vendor appointments, and any open property-related tasks; ensure timely follow-through.
  • Provide regular updates, notes, and summaries regarding household status, maintenance tracking, and vendor scheduling.
  • Maintain records of home access, keyholders, and scheduling details with complete discretion and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Based in or near New York City and able to handle regular in-person tasks in the West Village.
  • Available for property and household coordination.
  • Comfortable managing a private residence for a couple who works from home most days.
  • Highly organized, reliable, proactive, and consistent with detail-oriented follow-through.
  • Effective written communicator with an ability to summarize updates clearly and concisely.
  • Strong sense of judgment, professionalism, discretion, and respect for privacy.
  • Proficient with standard productivity tools (email, calendars, messaging apps, spreadsheets, task trackers).

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a property manager, building manager, personal/household assistant, family assistant, operations assistant, or similar support role.
  • Familiarity with West Village or downtown Manhattan operations, vendors, and transportation options.
  • Experience facilitating travel, supporting household operations, or coordinating small events.
