Job description

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting operations and financial reporting functions
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Manage audit preparation and external reporting requirements
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures
  • Drive process improvement and system optimization initiatives
  • Lead and mentor accounting team members
  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior Director, Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience leading teams and managing complex accounting functions
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
