Reporting to the IT Leadership Team, we’re looking for a collaborative IT Support Specialist to join Rival Group. In this role, you’ll help provide hands-on IT support across a mixed Mac/Windows environment, manage user access, and maintain clear documentation for IT staff and end users, working with smart, kind people who care about great work, real collaboration, and having fun while building something meaningful.

This role is ONLY open to candidates based in Vancouver, with a hybrid working model (4 days in office per week) designed to support flexibility, connection, and focused work.

About Rival Group

Rival Group brings together Rival Technologies, Reach3 Insights, and Angus Reid Group to help brands get closer to their customers through AI-accelerated, mobile-first conversational insights. Our teams blend technology, research, consulting, and data storytelling to help organizations make better, faster, and smarter decisions.

We're transforming the insights industry — moving quickly, staying curious, and building work that feels fresh, human, and genuinely useful. We celebrate people who bring courage, energy, results, and kinship to everything they do.

What you’ll own

  • Provide intermediate-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Mac and Windows environments, including VPN, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity issues.
  • Manage user accounts, licensing, and access requests in Microsoft 365 / Entra ID; support onboarding and offboarding through device provisioning, imaging, and account setup; and use NinjaOne to manage and monitor endpoints.
  • Create and maintain clear SOPs, how-to guides, and troubleshooting runbooks; communicate technical issues in plain language; escalate complex issues appropriately; and maintain accurate ticket records.

What you bring

  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or a similar intermediate technical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with both macOS and Windows environments, plus experience with Microsoft 365 administration and basic Entra ID tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff.
  • A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently and learn new tools quickly.
  • Ability to work semi-independently with minimal day-to-day supervision while staying organized and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • A strong customer-service mindset: patient, professional, collaborative, and solutions-oriented under pressure.

Nice to have

  • Experience with RMM / endpoint management platforms such as NinjaOne or similar.
  • Exposure to Jira and Confluence and familiarity with security tools such as Netskope, CrowdStrike, or similar.
  • Basic scripting familiarity with PowerShell or Bash.
