Job description

Fonoa is the Tax Operating System for autonomous tax. AI that tracks every rule, acts on every obligation, and proves every decision, built on modular infrastructure.

Fonoa’s modules cover the full indirect tax lifecycle: tax ID validation, real-time tax determination, e-invoicing, and returns. All on one shared data model and integration, with one audit trail. Each added capability makes the others stronger.

Agents monitor obligations, populate returns, catch anomalies and assemble audit packs in seconds. The system does the work. Humans make the calls. That’s autonomous tax.

We operate across 120+ countries, with clients going live in weeks, if not days.

Role description:

You will join Fonoa's Tax Content Team, which owns the accuracy and quality of the tax content.

You will review and refine AI-generated tax content, assess it against legislation and official guidance, investigate issues, and provide structured feedback to improve quality. This is precise, fast-paced work at the intersection of tax and AI, giving you exposure to global tax topics and how AI-driven tax software is built and improved.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, is eager to learn, and is comfortable using modern, AI-enabled tools while independently verifying information and documenting their reasoning.

What you will do:

  • Review and refine AI-generated tax content for technical accuracy and practical relevance
  • Test and evaluate AI prompts and tax content
  • Research legislation, official guidance, and other authoritative tax sources and monitor their quality and coverage
  • Identify gaps, questionable assumptions, and practical limitations in AI-generated content
  • Investigate and document issues and recurring quality patterns
  • Support tax content requests from product teams and contribute to improving internal review processes
  • Suggest improvements to review guidelines, classification criteria, and documentation as you spot friction in the day-to-day

You’ll Be a Great Fit If:

  • You hold a law degree or a qualification in tax/fiscal studies
  • You have 1–3 years of experience at a law firm, Big Four, or international tax advisory firm
  • You have experience in legal or tax research and are comfortable interpreting legislation and official guidance
  • You are detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable with high-volume, precision-driven work
  • You have full professional proficiency in English; additional EU languages are a strong plus
  • You are curious about AI and comfortable experimenting with new tools and workflows
