Robin Radar· Delft, Netherlands·
Role details
Job description
Keep our business moving while protecting our risks—turn complex legal challenges into clear, actionable paths forward. As our Legal Counsel Contracting, you own our end-to-end commercial contracting process to support key business goals. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will play a central role in building scalable contracting frameworks that keep our operations compliant and secure. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys working on complex local and international legal agreements, partnering directly with Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Quality & Compliance to translate legal intricacies into clear, business-focused advice.
What You’ll Do
- Commercial Agreements & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with local and international customers, suppliers, and partners. You take real energy from digging into complex agreements, protecting our commercial interests without slowing deal momentum down.
- Contracting Frameworks: Design and refine standard templates, negotiation playbooks, and governance processes to help the business move faster and maintain consistency.
- Legal Advice & Risk Mitigation: Provide straightforward advice on contract risk, liability, IP, and warranties, while helping internal teams resolve performance issues or disputes early.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders (including regulatory authorities) to streamline workflows and solve operational challenges together.
What you bring
- Master's degree in law (LL.M. or equivalent).
- 5+ years of commercial contracting experience, preferably in a high-tech environment.
- Strong expertise in international contract law, corporate law, and cross-border contracting.
- You bring direct experience working inside a corporate legal team. You know how a business operates from the inside, naturally balance legal risk with commercial goals, and thrive in an internal team environment.
- A genuine enthusiasm for working on complex local and international legal agreements and turning them into practical, actionable solutions.
- Excellent negotiation skills and drafting ability in English.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in Dutch, French, or German is a plus.
- Experience with software licensing (inbound and outbound) is a strong plus.
N.B. Don't worry if you don't tick every box. Our mission is a journey, and there's plenty to learn along the way. If most of this fits, we'd love to hear from you. A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and a background check are part of our screening process. We appreciate your understanding.
