Job description
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
How We Operate
- Be a barrel. Full autonomy. Own things end to end, take on scope without being asked, no permission required to operate outside your core role.
- Insane urgency. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
- Reason from first principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
- Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
- Build something that actually matters. If you're going to spend your time, spend it on something that matters to the world.
The Logistics Team
- Examples of key problems the team is working on
- Decide what lives on site, what lives an hour out, and what lives twelve hours out. We're building the material disposition strategy from scratch for a fleet scaling across multiple sites at once, and getting that placement logic right is the difference between a blocked site and one that never stops.
- Move off third-party warehousing and stand up our own. We're transitioning out of 3PL-run warehouses and building the operation in-house, on our own footprint and our own rules.
- Build and integrate our own warehouse, inventory, and transportation management systems. No off-the-shelf stack covers a build at this scale, so the systems get built and connected in-house, end to end.
Role Scope
- Inspect inbound freight at site receiving docks, from IT skids and racks to cabling and electrical gear, and document condition, count, and damage against the packing list before anything is signed for.
- Run every shortage, concealed damage, and mis-ship claim from first photo to resolution, with the carrier notice and insurance documentation that gets freight replaced or paid.
- Score carriers, 3PLs, and warehouse operators on on-time, in-full, damage-free delivery, and drive corrective actions when a lane or vendor slips.
- Verify serials, condition, and disposition on returned hardware so failed parts move back to vendors and good inventory returns to stock fast.
- Write the receiving inspection standards, packaging and handling specs, and defect reporting that every site runs the same way.
What We're Looking For
The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
- You've caught damage, shortages, or mislabeled freight at the dock before it was signed for, and you can show the documentation that made the claim stick.
- You've written inspection standards or checklists that other people ran without you in the room.
- You've traced a recurring defect or damage pattern to its root cause, whether a carrier, a packaging method, a lane, or a vendor, and got the fix adopted.
- You've worked claims with carriers or insurers and recovered value because your evidence was clean.
- You keep findings in a system, whether a WMS, an ERP, or a tracker, so nothing depends on memory.
- You write clearly enough to turn a damaged shipment into a decision and a next step for a site lead, a carrier, or a vendor.
- Bonus: High-value hardware handling (servers, GPUs, switches, optics). Carrier and 3PL performance programs (scorecards, SLAs). Serialized asset and RMA workflows. Formal quality frameworks (ISO 9001, Six Sigma).
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
- Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
Total compensation may also include equity in the form of restricted stock units.
