About the Role
This position in our Monterrey Center of Excellence supports shipment planning and optimization processes for operations in the US and Canada. Shifts for this role are generally Monday through Friday, working from 05:00-14:00, 06:00-15:00, 07:00-16:00, or 08:00-17:00. Most team members switch by one hour when the US changes time (March/October). People in this role are experts in customer freight flows. They understand the intricacies of facilities, products, and the relationships between them to make the best decisions to route and recover freight.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Managed end-to-end transportation planning and execution, ensuring shipments met customer service, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Optimized freight networks by consolidating shipments, improving load utilization, and reducing transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
- Resolved routing guide exceptions, carrier disruptions, and capacity constraints to ensure uninterrupted freight movement and on-time delivery.
- Consistently achieved and exceeded cost-savings and routing compliance targets through strategic load planning and carrier management.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams, carriers, plants, and customer service stakeholders to align transportation strategies and resolve operational challenges.
- Identified and implemented process improvement opportunities that enhanced operational efficiency, reduced costs, and improved customer satisfaction.
- Prioritized critical transportation issues in a fast-paced environment, making data-driven decisions to support business objectives and service commitments.
Basic Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, freight brokerage, or operational customer support, managing in-transit loads.
- “Call First” mindset, with confidence and willingness to make outbound calls to resolve escalations efficiently.
