Job Summary: The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and managing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production, high product quality, and cost control. This role works closely with production teams, quality assurance, and product design engineers to optimize workflows, introduce new technologies, and support continuous improvement in the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: ● Process Development: Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality. ● Production Support: Provide technical support to production lines, troubleshoot process and equipment issues, and implement corrective actions. ● Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance operational performance. ● Equipment & Tooling: Specify, procure, and implement new manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tools. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration. ● New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with design and R&D teams to transition new products into production, ensuring manufacturability and process stability. ● Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and equipment manuals. ● Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends, resolve process inefficiencies, and track key performance indicators (KPIs). ● Quality Assurance: Support quality control by implementing process controls, conducting root cause analyses, and participating in corrective/preventive actions. ● Safety & Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Must comply with the company’s safety policies.
Qualifications: ● Previous experience required. ● Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods, process improvement, and production flow. ● Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. ● Proficient with CAD software and engineering documentation tools. ● Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). ● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. ● Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
