Job description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Software Engineer to develop software tools and dataflows to support operations. Our manufacturing process is highly data driven, and our software tools make that possible by following the material from end to end.  You'll be working with an experienced team of mechanical, electrical, metrology, and manufacturing engineers; both assisting senior engineers and taking responsibility for your own engineering projects. Your goal will be to achieve maximum productivity for our production line through developing performant backend code, clear and intuitive frontend interfaces, and ensuring smooth and secure data flow throughout.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the design, architecture, development, and deployment of new interfaces and logic for handling  material
  • Identifying interruptions to data flows and developing solutions to prevent their recurrence
  • Collaborating with end users to translate feature requests into actionable software design
  • Organizing and maintaining documentation so others are able to understand and use it
  • Follow security standards and best practices for data storage, transfer, and change contro

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar engineering discipline
  • 3+ years of software engineering in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Languages & Systems: Python, C#, SQL, JS,  HTTP, Modbus, OPCUA, REST, SCADA, MES, QMS
  • Operational knowledge of networking + hybrid cloud designs
  • Strong communication and data presentation skills, working directly with internal customers
