Job description

WE’RE ON A MISSION TO BACK THE UK’S SMALL BUSINESSES LIKE NO ONE ELSE 🚀

Small businesses are the backbone of the economy, and we’re here to help them win. We’ve built a platform that uses clever data to get them the funding they need in minutes, not weeks.

At Funding Circle, we have the restless energy of a fintech start-up with the stability of a public company. It’s a unique mix that gives Circlers the autonomy to take ownership and the scale to make an impact that truly counts.

We’re a high-performing team that chooses to lift each other up. We challenge, we champion, and we have each other’s backs - because we know that when we stand together, we move faster and build better.

The impact is real: Last year alone, the businesses on our platform generated £7.2bn for the UK economy 📈 Come and join a mission that matters!

THE ROLE ⚡

📍 London (Hybrid) | 🤝 3 days in the office | 💰 Competitive Salary + Benefits

Joining our newly expanded Marketing Technology & Operations team, you will unlock new capabilities for the Marketing department and CRM team using a suite of best-in-class, no-code/low-code marketing platforms and agentic AI solutions.

  • Act as an independent platforms expert for the Marketing domain collaborating with engineering teams to steer technical solution design and co-work on implementations
  • Roll out new platform features and enable adoption by self-service users incorporating them into new campaigns and operational processes
  • Use agentic AI tooling to automate structured tasks and remove delivery bottlenecks
  • Build and maintain scalable, low-code data pipelines between marketing platforms, data sources and reporting tools
  • Monitor and own the health of platforms: identify and mitigate risks, issues or control weaknesses, create accessible documentation, and support views of data and system reliability

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 🌱

We value deep expertise, but a growth mindset and good energy are what really make our team click. We’re a group that chooses to lift each other up and think smart every day.

  • At least 4 years as an administrator/superuser of enterprise-level marketing systems - ideally a marketing automation platform (e.g. Braze, Iterable, Adobe Campaign) or customer data platform (e.g. Twilio Segment, Hightouch)
  • Comfort working on or around data integrations in frontend and backend contexts
  • Passionate about novel, multi-disciplinary problem-solving - you enjoy working with evolving technologies, bridging domains of expertise, and can demonstrate your success in solving for commercial objectives.
  • Experience with operations incorporating AI/agentic workflows, or use of AI agents inside marketing platforms
  • Comfort with complex spreadsheets or smartsheets using Excel/G-Sheet formulas
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills and an enthusiasm for collaboration with both technical and non-technical colleagues

Skills we’d love to see:

  • Familiarity working with real-time data flows and event-driven decision-making in marketing platforms
  • Familiarity with common platform integration methods (website tag managers, API authentication, retry/error handling, JSON, webhooks)
  • Ability to interpret and edit JavaScript/Python code, and comfort articulating and discussing technical requests to engineers
  • Familiarity working with or around “big data”, using tools like AWS Athena, SQL/dbt
  • Experience working in the financial sector or another regulated industry

We’re building a place where everyone truly feels they belong. Even if your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every requirement, we'd still love to hear from you.

WHY JOIN US? 💜

We back you to build an incredible career and by joining us, you'll be part of one of The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2026! As a flexible-first employer, we use a "best of both" approach.
