Job description
- Mission Delivery Engineer
- Department: Missions Line of Business
- Location: ICEYE Lisbon, Portugal
- Reports to: VP of Program Management, dotted line to Portugal CEO
- Employment type: Permanent
- Working type: Hybrid (3 days / week in office)
- Must be eligible and able to attain relevant national and NATO security clearances
Why this role matters
You keep ICEYE Portugal's technical programs on track. We run a growing portfolio of engineering programs, from space and connectivity projects with European agencies to intelligence-platform deployments for national customers, and each one needs plans that hold, risks surfaced early, and stakeholders who always know where things stand. You work directly with the CEO and the leadership team, owning the program mechanics so the engineers can build and the leadership can decide.
Expected outcomes Program planning & control
- Own schedules, milestones and work breakdown across assigned programs; keep the critical path visible and honest.
- Track budgets, procurement status and deliverables against plan; flag deviations early with options, not surprises.
- Maintain risk registers and drive mitigation actions to closure.
Stakeholder & reporting rhythm
- Prepare and run the reporting cadence: progress reports, milestone reviews and steering meetings with customers, agencies and partners.
- Produce clear, decision-ready material for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate across ICEYE entities and external suppliers; chase dependencies across time zones and organisations.
- Act as the interface between customer and the product, surfacing requirement gaps to product and engineering before they become delivery risks.
Programme operations
- Own documentation, configuration and action tracking for reviews and formal gates.
- Support contract administration: deliverable acceptance, milestone evidence, change requests.
- Continuously improve how we plan and report; keep the tooling light and useful.

- 3+ years in technical project or program management within engineering, space, telecom, defence or similarly demanding domains.

- Organised, proactive and comfortable chasing dependencies across teams and companies.
