Job description

Location: Picatinny, NJ  area preferred; willing to travel onsite to customer locations This position may work on Army projects related to the Department of War and/or the Intelligence Community. You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship with the ability to obtain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required by the DoW and IC for security clearance. *Secret clearance required, TS-SCI preferred Our team is excited to find our next Mission Success Director to join the company.

What You Will Be Doing

- Lead and manage a team of Solution Leaders and Mission Support Specialists delivering Virtualitics Readiness AI solutions across a portfolio of defense and intelligence customers

- Serve as the Delivery Operations Manager for a capability area or customer portfolio, owning delivery timelines, resource allocation, risk management, and cross-project coordination

- Drive portfolio-level strategy by aligning customer objectives to product roadmaps, identifying expansion opportunities, and ensuring renewal readiness across all accounts in your portfolio

- Oversee stage-gate delivery processes (IOC/FOC) and OKR-based health scoring to ensure consistent, measurable progress across customer programs

- Provide executive-level reporting to senior customer leadership, C-Suite stakeholders, and internal Virtualitics leadership on delivery health, risks, and strategic outcomes

- Build and scale high-performing delivery teams by hiring, coaching, and developing Solution Leaders and Mission Support Specialists who operate autonomously in demanding customer environments

- Own margin and resource accountability for your portfolio, ensuring delivery efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of mission impact

- Represent Virtualitics at the senior leadership level with customer organizations, building trust-based relationships with program managers, senior military leaders, and government executives

- Coordinate cross-functional delivery across engineering, data science, product, and solutions teams to ensure customer commitments are met

- Establish and enforce delivery standards, stage-gate processes, and operational readiness criteria across your portfolio

- Maintain portfolio-level operational visibility across integrated systems including Salesforce, Jira, and Google Workspace to drive data-informed delivery decisions

What We Are Looking For

- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in defense, intelligence, or federal technology programs

- 5+ years in a people-management role leading delivery, program management, or customer success teams

- Proven experience managing a portfolio of concurrent programs or accounts, not just single-project delivery

- Track record of building and scaling teams that deliver results in high-stakes, operationally demanding environments

- Strong executive communication skills, comfortable briefing general officers, SES-level civilians, and C-Suite executives

- Deep familiarity with DoW and IC organizational structures, acquisition processes, and operational culture

- Experience with P&L or margin accountability in a services or software delivery context

- Ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)

What Are Our Preferred Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus

- Active TS-SCI clearance

- Prior military service at the field-grade officer (O-4+) or senior civilian (GS-14/15) level

- Experience in enterprise software or AI/ML platform delivery for defense customers

What Are Some Valued Skills

- Domain expertise in one or more defense operational areas such as logistics, readiness, intelligence, weapons systems, or sustainment

- Experience transitioning from uniform to the defense technology industry

- Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies in classified or accredited environments

- Understanding of FedRAMP, IL4/IL5/IL6 deployment environments and associated compliance requirements

- Experience with OKR frameworks, delivery readiness tracking, and stage-gate program governance
