Job description

🌍 ABOUT US

NPX npxinnovation.ca partners with nuclear utilities and new reactor projects to unlock performance through innovation. We combine decades of nuclear operation expertise with AI, digital tools, and lean processes to help plants run safer, smarter, and more cost-effectively. Our team works at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution, helping clients solve complex challenges across Canada, the U.S., and globally.

🧠 THE ROLE

NPX is seeking a Nuclear Digital Consulting Intern to support consulting projects that help transform how work gets done in the nuclear industry. In this role, you’ll contribute to a range of client-facing and internal project work, helping turn ideas, analyses, and technical insights into clear deliverables that drive action.

You’ll support work such as creating slide decks, writing reports, and contributing to consulting-related project execution, while collaborating with team members across technical and business functions. This role is ideal for someone with a technology or engineering foundation who enjoys solving problems, communicating clearly, and working on meaningful projects in a highly specialized industry.

Location: Remote from Ontario

Salary Range: $26-31/hour (depending on the academic level)

Duration: 4 to 12 months

Condition of Employment: All NPXers are required to obtain a nuclear security clearance as a condition of employment. We’ll help you every step of the way, but wanted to share that up front.

🎯 WHAT YOU’LL DRIVE

  • Create polished slide decks to support client presentations, internal reviews, and project storytelling
  • Leverage AI tools to review and prepare high-quality deliverables
  • Write clear, structured reports that synthesize findings, recommendations, and project updates
  • Support consulting-related project work, including research, analysis, coordination, and documentation
  • Help translate technical or operational information into materials that are accessible and actionable
  • Collaborate with team members to develop deliverables that support digital transformation initiatives in the nuclear sector
  • Contribute to project execution by organizing information, tracking actions, and supporting day-to-day team needs
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and contribute to a high-quality final product

🌿 WHAT YOU’LL FIND HERE

To do great work, you need to be well in mind, body, and soul. At NPX, we design our environment around the whole person, not just the job they do.

  • 🧠 Mind: Tools and support for mental wellness, professional growth, and financial security.
  • 🧘‍♀️ Body: Health coverage, a spending account, and the freedom to rest and recharge.
  • 🌀 Soul: Meaningful work, alignment with your values, and time to refresh with time off.
  • 💰👀 Financial wellbeing? Covered. That means competitive pay and recognition for the impact you make.

NPX provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce and welcome people from all backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and abilities.

💬 Pssst. Just a heads up that we use AI to help in the filtering of candidates based on job-specific criteria. Humans decide who to move forward, and this way we're able to spend more of our time supporting our candidates directly.
