Job description
Position Summary: An industrial painter is responsible for surface preparation, paint application, and maintaining a clean work environment. They power-wash surfaces, perform substrate preparation, mix paints, and apply coatings to fabricated metal products. Attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, and physical stamina are essential for this role.
General Responsibilities
- Prepares surface for paint application, including but not limited to power-washed and cleaned surfaces for painting.
- Selected appropriate paint types for each surface.
- Monitors paint inventory and tools.
- Collaborates with other painters to ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Performed basic maintenance tasks when not painting.
- Works to grasp general understanding of automated material handling and paint system.
- Able to ensure reliability of washer through verification procedures.
Requirements
- Experience preferred in industrial-level painting.
- Perform thorough work to avoid mistakes.
- Capable of applying paint to various materials.
- Able to work well with others or independently.
- Physical Condition: In good health for job requirements (lifting, climbing ladders, bending).
