Recruiter at SOUM (Cairo)
SOUM· Cairo·
Role details
Job description
Role: Recruiter Location: Egypt (Remote) Work Week: Sunday – Thursday Work Timings: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Saudi Arabian Time Zone) Role Overview: We're looking for a Recruiter to own end-to-end hiring for a portfolio of open roles across the business. This is a full-cycle recruiting role — from intake to offer — for someone who can run a high volume of searches independently, build strong relationships with hiring managers, and bring structure and speed to how we hire. Language Requirement: Fluent Arabic and English (C1 proficiency in English) — both are essential for this role
What You'll Do
- Run recruitment for 5-6 concurrent open roles: sourcing, screening, interview scheduling and moving candidates through to offer.
- Join intake meetings with hiring managers to understand role needs, must-haves and the interview process.
- Source actively on LinkedIn and other channels to build healthy, diverse pipelines, not just rely on inbound applications.
- Run first-round screening calls and write clear, structured candidate summaries for hiring managers.
- Coordinate interviews and feedback so processes keep moving without delays.
- Give every candidate a fast, respectful and transparent experience, whatever the outcome.
- Keep the ATS (Lever) accurate and up to date: pipeline stages, notes and candidate status.
- Contribute to employer branding to strengthen Soum’s presence as an employer of choice in the region.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recruitment experience, in-house or agency. Exposure to startups, scale-ups or tech/marketplace businesses is a plus.
- Hands-on sourcing experience and comfort reaching out to passive candidates.
- Familiarity with the Saudi/MENA hiring market is a strong plus.
- Experience with an ATS (Lever preferred).
- Strong organization and follow-through: you can juggle several processes without dropping details.
- Clear, confident communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- Fluent English required; Arabic required for close collaboration with the Riyadh team.
- Comfortable working remotely, eager to learn, with a strong bias for action.
What Success Looks Like
- Open roles filled with strong, culture-aligned hires.
- Hiring managers find you responsive, organized, and easy to work with.
- Pipeline data in Lever is always accurate, with no surprises in the weekly hiring review.
- Candidates consistently describe the process as respectful and well run, whatever the outcome.
Why Join Soum
● Real ownership over your recruiting pipeline from day one.
● A People function that's actively building out career ladders, leveling, and process — you'll help shape it, not just execute it.
● A culture that values speed, autonomy, and results over hours logged.
