Why this role matters: As an RF Engineer, you’ll support the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of ICEYE’s radar payloads by maintaining and evolving RF hardware that enables high-quality Earth observation from space.

Your day-to-day responsibilities
- Support maintenance, updates, and continuous improvement of existing RF hardware systems
- Assist in the design, simulation, and validation of RF circuits for X-band and above
- Perform hands-on lab work including testing, debugging, root-cause analysis, and tuning using RF test equipment
- Run EM and circuit simulations and correlate results with measurements
- Create, review, and update schematics and PCB layouts with RF-critical design considerations
- Support verification activities including test plans, procedures, and validation of prototypes
- Maintain and produce technical documentation for hardware updates and processes
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams across the payload development lifecycle
What we’re looking for
Must haves:
- 4+ years of experience in RF engineering with a focus on practical product development
- Hands-on experience performing RF measurements and troubleshooting in lab environments
- Experience with RF test equipment such as VNA, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
- Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium and understanding of RF layout best practices
- Familiarity with RF simulation tools such as ADS and 3D EM tools such as HFSS or CST
- Solid understanding of RF fundamentals including linearity, noise figure, phase noise, and filtering
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
Nice to haves:
- Experience with Python for analysis or automation
- Experience with radar payloads, spaceborne RF systems, or aerospace hardware
- Experience with high-power RF or low-noise receiver design
- Familiarity with qualification standards such as ECSS or MIL and environmental testing
