Job description

About Us

Built with 💜 in KSA and leveraging Silicon Valley expertise, we’re creating innovative solutions in the realm of Voice AI and AI agents. As we continue our rapid growth trajectory in an exciting and dynamic market, we’re looking for A-players to join our team.

Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll help grow Sarj’s client base across Saudi Arabia by generating and qualifying opportunities across enterprise and government accounts.

You’ll own outbound prospecting, manage inbound leads, build relationships with key decision-makers, and create qualified opportunities that progress into POCs and signed contracts. You’ll work closely with our Customer Experience, Operations, and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify pipeline across enterprise and government accounts.
  • Build and manage target account lists across key sectors including banking, fintech, telecom, retail, healthcare, real estate, and government.
  • Run tailored outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, and WhatsApp in Arabic and English.
  • Engage decision-makers across Customer Experience, IT, Digital Transformation, and Procurement.
  • Conduct discovery calls and qualify opportunities.
  • Support POCs, follow-ups, and successful handoffs to relevant teams.
  • Represent Sarj at industry, customer experience, financial-sector, and government events.
  • Track pipeline, maintain accurate CRM records, and continuously improve messaging and sales processes.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of sales development or business development experience, including 2+ years with enterprise or government accounts.
  • Native Arabic speaker with a Saudi dialect and professional English.
  • Proven experience generating self-sourced pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of sales, lead qualification, and the Saudi enterprise/government landscape.
  • Comfortable discussing integrations, APIs, telephony, and CRM systems.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Organized and experienced with CRM and sales tools.

Nice To Have

  • Experience selling SaaS, AI, or contact center solutions.
  • Experience with government procurement in KSA.
  • Existing relationships in banking, telecom, or government.
  • Startup or early-stage commercial experience.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a high-growth, innovative tech start-up.
  • Work in a collaborative, mission-driven culture with hands-on exposure to innovative AI products.
  • Take ownership, grow, and make a real impact through real-world challenges.

Why work at Sarj.ai

  • Engineering culture: A global engineering team building AI tools from scratch, with a focus on Arabic NLP and enterprise-grade systems.
  • Impactful mission: Work on technology that directly replaces legacy call centers and manual processes in a rapidly digitizing region.
  • Early-stage environment: As an unfunded, bootstrapped company with 16 employees, team members likely enjoy high ownership, fast iteration, and broad scope of responsibility.
  • Office/remote policy: Not explicitly stated; headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The blog references a "global engineering team," suggesting potential remote or hybrid flexibility.
  • Notable perks: Opportunity to work on SAMA/regulatory-grade systems, forward-deployed client engagements, and on-premise infrastructure — unusual depth for a startup of this size.
