Job description
GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger activity
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Analyze financial data and identify variances or trends
- Assist with audit support and documentation requests
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accounting operations
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
