Job description
Who We Are
AeroVect is transforming ground handling with autonomy, redefining how airlines and ground service providers around the globe run day-to-day operations. We are a Series A company backed by top-tier venture capital investors in aviation and autonomous driving. Our customers include some of the world’s largest airlines and ground handling providers. For more information, visit www.aerovect.com.
You will be AeroVect’s first dedicated finance hire, working directly with the founders and our external accounting firm. You will own the day-to-day financial operations of the company across our US and Canadian entities: accounts payable and receivable, budget vs. actuals, and the finance administration that keeps a fast-moving company running.
You Will
- Accounts payable: Own the full AP cycle: vendor onboarding, invoice capture and coding, approvals, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations. Keep suppliers paid on schedule and cash forecasts accurate. Process supplier credit memos and RMA credits and reconcile against the originating invoice.
- Accounts receivable: Issue and track customer invoices under our commercial contracts, manage collections, and reconcile receipts.
- Budget vs. actuals: Maintain monthly tracking against the operating plan, identify variances, and keep budget owners accountable.
- Board and investor reporting: prepare slides and financial materials for board meetings and investor updates.
- Finance operations: expense workflows, support for 1099 filings, multi-state sales and use tax registrations, and exemption certificate administration (CA, GA, MI, expanding with new sites), and month-end close coordination with our external accountants.
- Systems and automation: Use AI tools and scripting to automate reconciliations, reporting, and repetitive admin.
You Have
- 3–4 years in accounting, FP&A, audit, investment banking, private equity, or a finance role at a startup
- Highly advanced Excel skills; you build accurate financial models and board-ready slides at speed
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proactively automate reconciliation, reporting, and administrative work using AI tools
- Comfortable holding budget owners accountable to deadlines and commitments
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication
We Prefer
- CPA (or in progress), CFA Level I+, or equivalent.
- Experience at a fast-paced startup or scale-up where you owned AP/AR and other finance tasks.
- Familiarity with Ramp, QuickBooks Online.
- Exposure to hardware, inventory, or fixed-asset accounting.
- Interest in aviation, robotics, or autonomous vehicles.
Why work at AeroVect
- High-Impact Work: Employees see their technology directly supporting mission-critical operations at major international airports.
- Strong Growth Trajectory: Joining a well-funded startup (Series A) that is in a massive hiring spree (+1300% YoY in job postings) offers significant career growth potential and project ownership.
- Culture: Described by employees as a supportive family-like environment that aims high and pushes boundaries. The company emphasizes "significant project ownership from day one."
- Perks & Benefits:
- Equity for all employees
- Flexible PTO (Flexible vacation) & Paid holidays
- Medical coverage
- Meals & snacks (in office)
- Global impact - opportunity to travel to deploy technology at sites around the world.
- Work Policy: Hybrid/Office presence likely required given the nature of the hardware/software deployment, with multiple office locations in the US, Canada, and Europe.
