We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of integrated electrical systems for a wide range of building projects. This role provides technical leadership across all project phases, mentorship to junior staff, and ownership of project execution while delivering innovative, high-quality solutions.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Lead electrical design for building systems including power, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, security, and communications systems
  • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and sustainable design solutions
  • Prepare and review reports, calculations, and technical specifications for electrical systems and equipment
  • Manage project deliverables, including oversight of BIM model development, schedules, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Provide design leadership and support during contract administration and construction phases
  • Ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are achieved
  • Apply national and local codes and standards to ensure compliant, efficient designs
  • Participate in all phases of projects from concept through construction completion
  • Mentor and guide junior and intermediate team members

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (P.Eng required or strongly preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering (healthcare, commercial, institutional, retail)
  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada Security Clearance
  • Strong experience leading projects across all design phases and contract administration
  • Deep knowledge of building systems: power distribution, fire protection, lighting, IMIT/communications systems
  • Strong understanding of applicable codes and standards (CSA, NEC/CEC, ULC, TIA, etc.)
  • Proven project management and leadership skills
  • Experience with BIM/Revit (preferred)
  • Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented
  • Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and multidisciplinary coordination
  • LEED accreditation is an asset
