Job description

Company Overview:

Radiant is redefining how AI infrastructure is built.

We design and operate AI-native cloud platforms engineered for sovereignty, performance, and scale. Our infrastructure powers GPU-native workloads, multi-tenant control planes, and high-performance AI systems designed for the most demanding environments.

We are not building a generic cloud. We are building purpose-built AI infrastructure — from powered land, to compute, to software.

As we scale, we're building this organisation from the ground up. We're looking for people who'd rather build the playbook than inherit one — who are comfortable doing the work themselves as well as directing others, and who can adapt as fast as our strategy does. This is a startup model: attitude and adaptability matter more to us than years of experience or the size of team you've previously managed.

This is a cross-functional role requiring strong technical, commercial, and delivery capabilities, with exposure to executive stakeholders and EPCs, equipment OEMs, and the Operations organisation receiving each completed site.

What You'll Do

You'll personally lead commissioning on Radiant's live projects, travelling to whichever site needs you most, and build the handover-to-Operations playbook as you go rather than following one that already exists.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning

  • Lead commissioning activities on-site personally, moving between projects as they reach energisation.
  • Build Radiant's commissioning methodology and readiness checklist from scratch.

Handover

  • Own the handover package into Operations and personally walk it through with the receiving team.
  • Take full ownership of the entire period between build completion and Operations go-live, not just the formal handover point.

Team build

  • Build out a pooled commissioning team as project count grows, while remaining hands-on at site level yourself.

What You Bring:

  • Attitude matters more to us here than number of years of experience.
  • Hands-on commissioning experience on data centre or mission-critical infrastructure, through to energisation.
  • Willingness to travel between live sites at short notice; this is not a desk-based role.
  • Comfort building a methodology from experience rather than inheriting a mature one.
  • We're hiring for the instinct to catch problems on the floor, not years of managing a commissioning department.
  • Full ownership of, or demonstrated hands-on experience across, Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with both air-cooled and liquid-cooled (DLC) commissioning.
  • Exposure to integrated systems testing (IST) methodology.
  • Experience commissioning projects in both Europe and the US.

Qualities we look for:

  • Set the standard: Every single day, you spot opportunities to constructively shake things up.
  • Inspire the change: There's no blueprint for the future. You'll embrace challenges and change.
  • You're real and you're true to yourself: We cherish and celebrate diversity so you'll feel right at home whoever you are and whoever you're talking to, you treat everyone the same.
  • Get stuck in: You'd rather be building than overseeing. Our strategy will keep evolving, and so will you — attitude and adaptability matter more to us than a fixed playbook or a big team behind you.

Why work at Radiant

  • Culture: “Outcome oriented” — the company values people who get things done, dream bigger, think in longer timelines, and build the assets that make every other ambition possible. radiant.co
  • Remote/Hybrid Policy: Flexible work options, including remote and hybrid arrangements.
  • Compensation: Competitive compensation with performance-based incentives and meaningful stock options.
  • Benefits: Learning and development support, family-friendly policies with paid parental leave, generous vacation and company holidays.
  • Engineering Culture: Led by CTO Chris Galloway (previously CTO at Ori, with experience at Broadcom/Symantec) and VP Product Joao Coelho (former AWS Solutions Architect, co-founder of open-source Multy). The team is building a proprietary, dependency-free software platform from first principles — appealing to engineers who want deep technical ownership.
  • Growth Opportunity: Early-stage (launched Feb 2026) with massive capital backing — employees can shape the company’s trajectory and work on infrastructure at unprecedented scale (10K to 100K+ GPUs).
  • Hiring: Actively hiring across every department. radiant.co
