Job description
The role focuses on leading complex projects, driving strategic improvements, and mentoring development teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Advanced Software Development: Lead the design and implementation of complex software applications, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Technical Leadership: Produce in-depth technical documentation and provide guidance to junior developers.
- Strategic Bug Resolution: Lead efforts to identify and resolve complex bugs, improving software integrity.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure software solutions meet business needs.
- Mentorship and Process Optimisation: Mentor junior team members and drive initiatives to refine development processes.
The consultant will:
- Develop and improve cloud-native systems which are at the heart of a major Nordic financial institution.
- Leverage technical freedom, make and own decisions to improve our systems.
- Work with Java, Kafka, Elasticsearch, MS SQL, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native products.
- Continuously develop his/her own and his/her team’s capabilities and ways of working.
- Closely collaborate with the team, business users, and other teams inside the bank.
Requirements :
- High proficiency in Java and tools supporting Java development.
- Experience in development and continuous improvement of cloud-native systems.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility to carry out deliveries in a structured manner.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, MQ.
- Positive, proactive attitude, DevOps mindset, ability and motivation to learn.
- Good communication skills and fluency in English.
