​​Seeking a Senior AI Engineer to support the Technology Trending Solutions mission, leading the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical AI and analytics solutions within a highly governed environment. The ideal candidate has deep experience implementing analytic governance (e.g., AVG) and AI governance frameworks (e.g., AAA), and can ensure all models, data, and workflows are compliant, auditable, and aligned with customer and enterprise policy. The Senior AI Engineer will integrate advanced AI capabilities through APIs such as OpenAI and AWS Bedrock, and build intuitive front-end experiences using technologies like EX, AWS Amplify, and React. The role requires hands-on expertise with analytic development environments and cloud-native platforms (e.g., GMLearn, Container Yard, AWS SageMaker, AWS EKS), as well as strong agile delivery skills using Scrum or Kanban and tools such as Jira and Confluence. The candidate must be highly proficient with modern version control and model/code management using Git, GitLab, Hugging Face, Bailo (or similar), and demonstrate a proven track record of driving AI solutions from concept through governed production deployment in sensitive, mission-focused environments.

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities

  • Develop Solutions: Build and prototype software that directly increases the speed and efficiency of defensive cyber operations.
  • Collaborate with Operators: Work closely with mission operators to observe workflow challenges and design innovative technical solutions.
  • Integrate AI Capabilities: Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and corporate AI resources to optimize development lifecycles and scale data analytics.
  • Enhance Mission Capabilities: Support critical workflows across vulnerability patching, incident response, and threat emulation.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
  • Master's degree +6 years, Bachelor's degree +8 years, Associate's degree +10 years, or High School diploma or GED +12 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience must be in the software development process (i.e., requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance) and programming.
  • Formal or informal leadership experience is preferred.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong foundational experience in core software development methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Python for application development, scripting, and data manipulation.
  • Solid understanding of foundational cybersecurity concepts, defensive operations, or threat landscapes.

Desired Technical Skills

  • Direct experience developing AI solutions and utilizing LLMs in production.
  • Background in data engineering, data science, or advanced analytics.
  • Experience with Splunk development, dashboard creation, or data ingestion pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or Rancher architectures.
  • Experience orchestrating data pipelines using Apache Airflow.​
