Your future role within QRT:

You will contribute to the efficiency of the technical environment of research. You will build and operate internal tools and services used by researchers across the firm. You will work directly with researchers to understand their workflows, identify recurring pain points, and turn them into better tooling, automation, documentation, or platform improvements.

  • Build backend services, APIs, automation scripts, dashboards, and lightweight web applications
  • Deploy and operate internal applications using cloud, containers, and CI/CD
  • Improve onboarding, documentation, self-service workflows, and internal knowledge sharing
  • Troubleshoot issues across applications, infrastructure, user environments, and integrations
  • Work with engineering teams to improve adoption, usability, ownership, and supportability of internal platforms
  • Contribute to secure, maintainable, observable, and scalable internal systems

Your current skillset:

  • Strong software engineering skills, preferably in Python
  • Experience building internal tools, APIs, automation, or web applications
  • Experience with AI-assisted and agentic software development tools
  • Familiarity with cloud environments, containers, deployment workflows, and CI/CD
  • Ability to debug technical issues across several layers of a system
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving, with a focus on useful outcomes
  • Strong user-centric mindset, with the ability to understand user workflows, constraints, and pain points in depth
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools, systems, and domains
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, credibility, and strong working relationships with researchers
