What you’ll be doing…
- Use testing tools and frameworks to assist with and streamline automation testing and reduce test cycles.
- Creating and maintaining test automation frameworks.
- Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations for product improvements.
- Work closely with development, product management, and QA teams to define testing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues in various environments.
- Creating and maintaining test data needed to execute automation tests.
- Daily CI test automation runs results analysis.
- Maintain QA on code bases written in Python, PHP, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Conduct manual and automated testing to verify software and hardware functionality.
- Incorporating and running test automation scripts within the CI process.
- Performing code reviews of automated scripts and tests
- Investigating new tools and processes and frameworks to enable efficient, effective automation testing
Qualities you possess
- Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related technical field
- 8+ years of Experience with developing and maintaining test automation framework(s)
- 3+ years’ operating on an Agile Engineering Team with a solid understanding of SDLC.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Experience with creating, maintaining and execution test automation scripts written in Python and/or JavaScript with an optional BDD layer like Cucumber/Gherkin.
- Working knowledge and usage of continuous integration and auto build/deploy/test tools such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with VMware and AWS environments.
- Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player
- Natural team-player who can work seamlessly with engineers across the organization.
- Attention to detail.
- Passion and curiosity.
- Scale and Performance testing experience is a plus
- Security testing experience is a plus
Must have:
- Experience with Behave Driven Development (BDD). Especially with use of Gherkin syntax.
- Ability to create individual test cases and test plans.
- Ability to at least read Python code.
- Experience with Linux.
- Good communication skills.
Good to have:
- Experience with AI assisted testing frameworks/tools (e.g. Tabnine, Codex, Cursor etc.,)
- Cucumber experience.
- Use of Jenkins Pipelines.
- Experience with Jira. Xray experience is a huge plus for test case management.
- Experience with VMWare VM management.
- AWS EC2 management.
