Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Space Force Exercise Planner at Wiesbaden, Germany. This position will provide Advisory and Assistance Services to support SPACE-EURAF. SPACE-EURAF is the Component Field Command of the United States Space Force (USSF) under U.S. European Command (USEUCOM) and U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM). It is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing space operations, integrating space capabilities into joint and combined operations, and fostering space-related partnerships with NATO and allied nations in the European and African areas of responsibility (AOR). The Space Force Exercise Planner serves as a senior subject matter expert (SME) responsible for collecting, assessing, and distributing lessons learned as well as designing, planning, coordination, execution, and assessment of joint, combined, bilateral, and multilateral exercises. This role ensures the seamless integration of Space Force capabilities, theater space effects, and space domain awareness into USSF, USEUCOM, USAFRICOM, and NATO exercise portfolios.
What you will be doing:
- Analysis, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement: Conduct rigorous post-operations and exercise After-Action Reviews (AAR). Identify gaps in space integration, doctrine, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) with joint and allied all-domain operations.
- Author comprehensive Joint and Combined Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) entries and Executive Summaries (EXSUMs) to capture and rectify shortfalls identified during training and operational events. Focus applies to identifying and integrating lessons from conflicts and real-world contingencies.
- Lead the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for SPACE-EURAF participation in major theater exercises. This includes attending and managing Development/Planning Conferences (CDs and PCs) and subsequent planning events. (Requires up to 40% travel, primarily within the EUCOM/AFRICOM AoR.)
- Author, synchronize, and inject space-related Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) injects to challenge training audiences on space-dependent weapon systems.
- Ensure space operational tasks are integrated into broader Air, Land, Maritime, Cyber, and Special Operations exercise cells.
- Align space exercise objectives to integrate with and support EUCOM/AFRICOM/NATO plans.
- Prepare and deliver high-level briefings to senior military leadership (O-6/GO-FO and NATO equivalents) on exercise readiness, execution statuses, and space mission integration outcomes.
- Coordinate space education and training in support of exercise academics for the component, joint force, and partner nations.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in Space Operations and/or Space Control
- Space Analysis, Policy, Planning, or equivalent experience/responsibility
- Strong communicator/writer for senior COCOM leaders
- Familiarity with GPS support products
- WIC Graduate (preferred)
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
