ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer who’s passionate about using AI to change how teams across the business get their work done.
You’ll embed with a team, learn how they actually work, and build the AI-powered workflows that make them faster and more effective. You start by mapping how the function operates today, then decide together with the team where AI can create the most value and build it.
This is not a support role, a solutions-engineering role, or staff augmentation. You are a full engineer who works at the boundary between our AI platform and a business domain. You ship production systems, and the best of what you build for one team becomes a reusable capability for the whole company.
YOU WILL
- Embed with a team. Work alongside a function for sustained periods, joining their day-to-day so you understand how they really operate.
- Map how the work gets done. Build a clear picture of the function's current workflows and surface where time, handoffs, rework, and manual effort pile up.
- Find where AI creates the most value. Prioritize the opportunities that will move the function's outcomes the most, and align with the team on what to tackle.
- Build it in production. Ship real, AI-powered workflows that solve the problems you find, working hands-on with the team and our platform.
- Scale what works. Turn proven solutions into reusable capabilities so a win with one team accelerates the whole organization.
- Own the outcome. Measure success by the business results your partners achieve: revenue generated, cost saved, cycle time reduced, manual work eliminated.
YOU HAVE
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on coding skills and experience delivering production systems across complex codebases.
- Strong Python, plus backend or fullstack depth in one or more of: Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Go, React, TypeScript, or mobile.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD workflows, and SQL.
- Working knowledge of LLMs and agentic patterns: prompt engineering, tool use, RAG and retrieval, context management, evaluation and observability, and agent orchestration with frameworks like MCP, LangChain, or similar.
- The ability to get productive fast in codebases and domains you have never worked in.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You partner across technical and business teams, translate between them, and produce docs and findings that both engineers and non-technical stakeholders can act on.
- Nice to have:
- Experience extracting structure from unstructured data (transcripts, documents, conversations) with LLMs.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tooling (n8n, Zapier, Temporal, or similar).
- Familiarity with process mining or workflow analysis (event logs, process discovery, BPMN).
YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU
- Love experimenting with AI tools and applying them to real engineering and business challenges.
- Enjoy embedding with teams outside engineering and bridging the language gap between technical and business partners.
- Treat discovery as engineering work, not a preamble to it.
- Enjoy translating early prototypes into production-ready, maintainable systems.
- Are curious, pragmatic, and impact-driven. You measure success by the business outcomes your partners achieve.
OUR BENEFITS (THERE ARE MORE BUT HERE ARE SOME HIGHLIGHTS):
- Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles
- Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days
- Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave
- Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)
- 401k benefits with employer matching contribution
- Offsite team retreats
We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match.
