Role Summary
As an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist on the APAC recruiting team, you will be instrumental in building and scaling teams at Mistral across the region - Singapore, Korea, India, Australia and Japan. You will get a wide breadth of exposure across roles, geographies, levels. Joining Mistral in APAC today means you’ll sit at the intersection of recruiting strategy and best practice execution at scale. TAs at Mistral get a seat at the table, deep influence in decision making, and are sparring partners to hiring managers. Your work will directly influence our success by ensuring we find and engage exceptional people who will drive Mistral’s growth. You will also foster a strong candidate experience to create a flywheel for our employer brand int he region. You will also help establish recruiting best practice by creating, documenting and scaling knowledge and playbooks.
What you will do
- Drive our hiring effort for Applied AI and Solutions, across the region, with some flexibility and open mindedness to contribute to GTM and Corporate roles, on a need basis
- Partner with our tech & business hiring managers to find world-changing talent for Mistral
- Own end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and closing candidates
- Identify unique candidates who bring an entrepreneurial spirit, strong commitment and passion for success
- Guide candidates through our hiring process and introducing them to the magic of working at Mistral
- Develop and refine recruiting processes, tools, and documentation to improve outcomes and efficiency
- Use data to diagnose process issues and propose solutions
- Deliver a high-quality candidate experience in a competitive talent market
- Collaborate with others to continuously raise the bar for our hiring standards
- Contribute directly to defining and evolving our talent acquisition approach in APAC
About you
- 7+ years of total recruiting experience, ideally across a mix of agencies, high growth startups, and enterprise/corporate environments
- Demonstrated ability to hire at high throughput at scale, and in complex environments, never compromising quality
- Self-starter who is result-oriented, resourceful, innovative, intellectually curious, and who takes initiative and risks
- T-shaped with deep expertise in Technical roles: FDE, SWE, MLE, Research Eng, Applied Science
- Natural geek with tooling and automation, thinks in systems and scale, embraces the latest technologies, and has ideally built a thing or two
- Experience in complex recruiting and autonomous hiring in outbound contexts
- Experience working to recruit in highly competitive talent markets
- Strong written and verbal communication
- No ego and highly committed to deliver
- Able and keen to jump from strategic topics to very hands-on work
- Open learning mindset and fast learner, demonstrated capacity to quickly grasp new complex topics
- Capability, credibility, and consultative skills to influence senior colleagues and stakeholders without authority
- Organized, disciplined, and strong at project management
- Comfortable working within the ambiguity of a small, growing startup with a strong desire to turn that ambiguity into a well-defined machine
- Target driven, detail oriented, and approachable with the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands
- Fluent in English and experience recruiting internationally
- Ideally, proficiency with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and AI tools (Vibe, Claude)
