Position Overview
The Software Test Engineer - Senior is responsible for the testing and validation of the IRT systems. Working closely with the Lead Test Engineer and Project team, they are responsible for delivering a high quality system to the client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for complex web applications. Experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical domain is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies is highly desirable.
Responsibilites
- Responsible for testing through the entire lifecycle of a project, including test case development, execution and verification.
- Tracking and reporting software defects, along with verifying resolved issues in ticket tracking application.
- Assist in on-going process improvement for test case management.
- Provide the project team with testing progress and continuous risk assessment during the Testing phase.
- Support validation efforts by acquiring evidence during testing phase, as well as generating validation reports at cycle end.
- Proactively works to understand the major components of the product through training and client assignments.
- Strong in database queries, Stored Procedures and View testing
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to define quality requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Experience in BDD frameworks to create readable and maintainable test scenarios (e.g., using Cucumber, Spec Flow, or similar tools).
- Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable automatic test execution.
- Leads individual Projects and acts as the main point of contact / escalation for the testing team.
- Utilizes in-depth product knowledge to anticipate client needs and address complex issues.
- Provides guidance and sets priorities for the Test Engineer on project.

Required Skills
- Should have experience in IRT / RTSM domain
- Strong in software testing concepts (manual & automation)
- Good working experience with any programming language such as Java or C# is a plus
- Good knowledge of web applications and how they work
- Expert in testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, Postman, or JMeter (good to have)
- Expertise in SQL queries, Stored procs
Experience
5-10 years’ experience working in software testing/ Quality Assurance
Education Completed graduation in Computer Science / Engineering or related field
