Job description
We are looking for a commercially curious and execution-focused Trading Initiatives & Business Manager to join our Trading team. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for an ambitious professional who wants to be at the forefront of new trading strategies and financial instruments across crypto, TradFi, and prediction markets. You will support and drive the delivery of new trading initiatives — from initial research and feasibility through to go-live — while leveraging AI tools to accelerate competitor analysis, research workflows, and project tracking. This role offers significant exposure to traders, cross-divisional teams and external partners across exchanges, brokers, and venues globally.
Responsibilities:
New Trading Initiatives
- Evaluate new trading opportunities and strategies across multi-asset classes and new markets, apply AI-assisted research workflow to conduct market sizing, requirement analysis, pricing and risk analysis, providing insights from Trading perspective
- Leverage AI tools to conduct competitor analysis — tracking competitor strategies, new instrument launches, exchange activity, and market positioning
- Oversee the listings of new prediction markets contracts, tokens and coins from Trading perspective, coordinating with product, risk, operations, and tech teams.
- Maintain a rolling pipeline and prioritised roadmap of new trading initiatives.
Project & Programme Management
- Own the project management of assigned trading initiatives end-to-end — maintaining project plans, timelines, action logs, RAID logs, and status updates.
- Coordinate cross-functional workstreams, ensuring milestones are met and blockers are escalated promptly.
- Prepare and distribute clear, concise project status updates
- Manage prioritisation and planning of the broader initiatives pipeline, flagging capacity constraints and dependencies proactively.
- Ensure all project documentation is well-structured, up to date, and accessible to all relevant team members.
- Use AI to streamline project management workflows — including automated status updates, documentation drafting, meeting summarisation, and task tracking.
Business Management
- Own day-to-day business management across the various trading desks, including preparation of reporting packs, performance dashboards, and KPI tracking
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, risk, and finance teams on new trading initiatives
- Manage relationships with exchanges, brokers, data providers, and external partners, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day queries and ongoing coordination.
Requirements:
- Min 3-4 years of experience in a trading, strategy, project management, business management, or financial services role.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following: TradFi markets, crypto markets, prediction/event markets.
- Demonstrable project and programme management skills — Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodology. Familiar with SDLC and use of Jira.
- Experience or keen on AI tools (e.g., LLMs, AI research assistants, automation platforms) in a professional or personal capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills — able to produce clear briefing notes, status updates, and stakeholder presentations.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
