Bindery Operator

Position Summary
A leading commercial printing manufacturer is seeking motivated individuals to join its bindery department. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, have experience operating machinery, and want to build a long-term career in print manufacturing. Training is available for individuals with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Learn to operate and set up bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and perfect binders.
- Make machine adjustments and monitor product quality throughout production runs.
- Work with the production team to meet daily output goals.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and maintain efficient production.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience operating machinery in manufacturing, warehouse, or trade environments preferred.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
- Ability to read basic instructions and measurements.
- Strong attention to quality and detail.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Print, bindery, or finishing experience is a plus.
- Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment is beneficial.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
