Responsibilities
- Elicit, challenge and translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, acceptance criteria and implementable specifications.
- Analyze system interactions, dependencies, data exchanges, error paths and synchronous or asynchronous integration patterns.
- Define and review requirements for business APIs, REST APIs and SOAP services, including endpoints, operations, payloads, validations, status codes and error handling.
- Document source-to-target mappings, JSON/XML structures, transformations, mandatory or optional fields, default values and validation rules.
- Analyze document upload, retrieval, update, search, metadata, versioning, lifecycle and access-control use cases.
- Prepare process models, context diagrams, sequence flows and integration diagrams to clarify scope and interactions.
- Support backlog refinement, estimation, delivery planning and cross-team dependency clarification.
- Prepare test scenarios and support API, integration, system and UAT validation.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability between business needs, requirements, solution decisions, user stories, test evidence and delivered outcomes.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, QA, security, operations and platform teams to resolve ambiguities and delivery gaps.
- Identify functional, technical, security, operational and compatibility impacts of proposed changes.
- Create and maintain structured delivery documentation in Jira, Confluence or equivalent platforms.
- Use enterprise-approved generative AI tools responsibly for requirement refinement, gap identification, scenario generation, impact analysis and documentation, while validating all generated output.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of overall IT or Business Analysis experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Business Analysis experience for enterprise applications or complex digital platforms.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in integration analysis, API analysis or technical requirements definition.
- Minimum 3 years of experience defining functional requirements, acceptance criteria, business rules and end-to-end process flows.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with API testing, data mapping or integration validation using tools such as Postman, Insomnia or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with business, development, architecture and QA throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Experience with OpenText Documentum, ECM platforms or document integrations is strongly preferred.
- Experience in banking, financial services or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred; minimum 2 years is preferred for candidates presented as banking-experienced.
