ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Loan Servicing

  • Oversee the daily loan servicing of an assigned portfolio of CRE loans, acting as primary servicing point of contact for internal parties, borrowers, third party servicers, and various vendors. This includes monthly payment process, coordination of third-party servicers, management of monthly cash management waterfalls, custodial management of the original loan file, monitoring the reporting requirements of the loan agreement and guarantors, monthly fundings of loan proceeds/reserves, pay downs and payoffs.

Repurchase Facilities/Back Leverage

  • Partners with Fund teams within the Investments Group to onboard and manage the repurchase facilities/back leverage. This may entail working with repo lenders, participants, banks, and various investors. Duties include monthly payment process, coordination of reimbursements of any fundings, providing any reporting requirements, pay downs and payoffs.

Other Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all money movements are funded in compliance with loan documents and company policies.
  • Ensure appropriate set-up, maintenance, and closing of all required bank accounts tied to assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure all data and information related to lending activities is entered into loan servicing system accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate the payment of all pass-through expenditures from related vendors for the assigned portfolio.
  • May also assist with the closing of new originations.  Duties include tracking of good faith deposits, ordering/review of various due diligence reports, coordinating insurance reviews/approvals, running background checks to achieve internal KYC/AML compliance, setup of any required bank accounts, review various legal documents, coordinate the settlement statement with title companies, obtain any approvals needed for closing/funding, and accurately on board the loans.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative or related fields.
  • 4+ years’ relevant professional experience working with an investment firm, commercial loan servicer, private equity firm, or similar organization, focusing on real estate credit and adjacent sectors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Commercial Real Estate experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic; proven ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
