Job description
Job Overview:
As a PeopleSoft Tech Lead / Senior Developer, you will be working directly to our partner. The PeopleSoft Tech Lead / Senior Developer is responsible for the technical design, development, integration, and operational stability of the institution's PeopleSoft platform, covering Campus Solutions, Contributor Relations, and custom-built modules. At Tech Lead level the role owns architecture decisions and reviews the work of other developers; at Senior Developer level it focuses on hands-on delivery and contributes to design.
The platform supports the full student lifecycle from admissions to graduation, after which alumni records transition to the institution's CRM platform. It also underpins faculty teaching management, degree-programme billing and payment (integrated with a third-party payment gateway), and identity management through its integration with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), where the institutional email address serves as the primary digital identity. The platform exposes a large number of business interfaces to other enterprise systems.
The role keeps the platform secure, scalable, maintainable, and fully integrated within the wider digital ecosystem, providing hands-on expertise and technical direction across PeopleCode development, application design, upgrades, integrations, security, and production support. Close collaboration with the Platform Administrator is essential for infrastructure upgrades, PeopleTools and PUM updates, environment management, and new enterprise integrations.
Works with: Business Product Owners, Digital Delivery teams, Solution Integration specialists, the PeopleSoft Platform Administrator, and external vendors

- Own the technical integration with the identity platform (Microsoft Entra ID), the alumni CRM platform, the payment gateway, and faculty-related systems
- Manage source code in GitHub for developments not natively version-controlled within the PeopleTools Application Designer project repository
Business Partnership and Process Improvement
- Collaborate with functional experts to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions that leverage standard PeopleSoft functionality wherever possible
- Identify opportunities to simplify business processes and improve user experience, proposing enhancements that align with academic and administrative needs while minimising unnecessary customisation
