Project Architect – Allendale, MI
DISHER is excited to partner with a collaborative design studio on a Project Architect based out of their Allendale studio. This studio integrates architecture, interiors, and engineering, specializing in the design of learning environments. As a Project Architect, you will play a pivotal role in taking projects from concept design through project completion. You’ll lead by example—mentoring others, championing collaboration, and ensuring every project benefits from diverse perspectives and expertise.

What you'll get to do:
- Consult with clients to determine the functional and spatial requirements of new structures or renovations and prepare information regarding the design and specifications of materials, colors, systems, and prepare opinions of possible cost and project schedules.
- Plan layout of project and integrate engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
- Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
- Represent clients in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
- Administer construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site observations to ensure compliance with plans.
What will make you successful:
- Master’s degree in Architecture and 5-7 years of related experience highly preferred
- Licensure or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
- Experience with educational building background highly preferred
- Proficiency in Revit, with excellent problem solving skills
- Strong technical expertise related to design and construction
- Understanding of Indiana code requirements
