Job description
We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager, who will lead a team of Account Executives generating growth within their respective region. This individual will be responsible for generating revenue growth and achieving individual, team, and organizational goals.
In this role you will be a valuable contributor to the regional sales strategy, leading implementation, and driving execution to achieve corporate objectives. Ideal candidates should possess a solid business-to-business product sales and management history.
Responsibilities
- Regional leader whose primary objectives are to exceed territory growth, revenue quota, organizational health, and customer satisfaction goals
- Grow and develop a team of qualified sales professionals with high potential and a proven track record of success
- Lead and manage a high performance, customer-focused team of Account Executives (AE) to deliver customer business value and solid customer relationships
- Coach direct reports in sales strategy, pipeline management, opportunity management and career planning/development
- Apply knowledge of the business, industry, and domain expertise to assist AEs in identifying, creating and closing profitable, margin enhancing business opportunities
- Help grow and maintain a healthy vendor ecosystem to drive sales
- Meet personal and team goals for profit, number of calls, and other sales metrics
- Manage and closing complex sales cycles with C-level decision makers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years sales experience and/or training within the packaging industry
- Minimum of 5 years in sales management experience required
- Sales experience in an industrial setting or packaging preferred.
- In-depth sales experience with strong understanding of the solution selling process
- Effective influencing skills – adept at ability to understand the needs of, and ability to influence, personnel ranging up to C-level decision makers
- Strong analytical skills to effectively track sales activity, develop sales plans, understand local market and competitive trends, and complete the analysis of sales deals
- Strong financial acumen
- Solid Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
