Job description
📍 London Office (Aldgate East, E1) | Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
The opportunity
Goodlord's mission is to become the gold standard platform for renting, and we're looking for an SDR Manager to build our Sales Development function from the ground up.
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, this is a genuine blank-canvas opportunity. You'll define the strategy, build the playbook, select the tooling and hire a brand-new early careers SDR team, creating the future commercial talent pipeline for Goodlord.
We're investing heavily in our commercial organisation, giving you the opportunity to shape how we generate pipeline for years to come.
In this role you'll:
- Play a key role in shaping one of Goodlord's most important growth functions, with the freedom to test ideas, move quickly and make a genuine impact.
- Build the SDR function from the ground up, creating the strategy, playbook, processes and team instead of inheriting someone else's.
- Balance both Enterprise and Mid-Market outbound motions, helping us figure out what great looks like across different customer segments.
- Experiment with tooling, automation and AI to help the team work smarter, generate better conversations and create more pipeline.
Success won't just be measured by pipeline - you'll also be responsible for developing the next generation of Account Executives, Account Managers and Commercial Leaders at Goodlord.
What we need from you:
The most important part of this role is coaching, mentoring and developing early careers talent. You will genuinely love nurturing raw talent e.g. graduates, school & college leavers and transforming them into high-performing commercial professionals.
- A proven track record of managing, mentoring, and developing inexperienced hires, building their confidence and core commercial skills.
- Proven experience in a B2B SDR environment, whether as an SDR Lead, Team Lead, Player-Coach or Senior SDR with responsibility for coaching and developing others.
- A Builder Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and highly motivated to create structure, strategies, and playbooks where none exist.
- Deep familiarity with tools like Salesforce/HubSpot and Outreach/Salesloft, paired with a genuine enthusiasm for AI sales automation
Note: Whilst you won't carry an individual quota, this isn't a role for someone who wants to manage from the sidelines. We need a leader who is happy to demonstrate what good looks like and help a brand-new team develop into high-performing SDRs.
It would also be great if you have:
- Prior experience navigating the fast-paced environment of a rapidly evolving scale-up.
- An awareness or understanding of the PropTech sector.
