Job description

At Snowflake, we are powering the era of the agentic enterprise. To usher in this new era, we seek AI-native thinkers across every function who are energized by the opportunity to reinvent how they work. You don’t just use tools; you possess an innate curiosity, treating AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems and accelerate your impact. We look for low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic and fast-moving environments and move with an experimental mindset — who rapidly test emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results. At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.

About the Role

Snowflake's marketing technology ecosystem powers our global go-to-market strategy. The Senior Marketing Systems Architect is responsible for the data and systems foundation of Marketing Operations: designing and optimizing our data architecture, ensuring integrations are reliable and scalable, and readying the ecosystem for the next generation of AI-powered marketing. This is a hands-on technical role focused on solving complex systems challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize Marketing Operations data architecture across Salesforce, Marketo, Snowflake, Hightouch, Clay, and the broader MarTech ecosystem.
  • Own the Marketo-to-Snowflake data sync: audit field mappings, identify gaps and redundancies, and partner with Data Engineering to remediate.
  • Redesign segmentation architecture so audience definitions are consistent, maintainable, and scalable across platforms and regions.
  • Improve lead routing, audience activation, and operational workflows to strengthen lifecycle performance and marketing data governance.
  • Lead MarTech stack health and rationalization: assess platform utilization against cost, flag consolidation opportunities, and deliver renewal-readiness recommendations.
  • Partner with GTM Engineering and Data Engineering to design, validate, and implement scalable technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform, integration, and data quality issues to improve system reliability and operational performance.
  • Establish technical standards and governance that support future automation and AI capabilities.

What does success look like?

  • Complete a Marketo-to-Snowflake field-level sync audit and deliver a remediation plan that strengthens data quality and platform reliability.
  • Deliver a segmentation and audience architecture that is consistent and maintainable across Marketo, Snowflake, and regional teams.
  • Improve lead routing, lifecycle architecture, and marketing data governance.
  • Deliver a MarTech stack health assessment with rationalization recommendations and at least one consolidation decision executed.
  • Establish technical standards that enable future automation and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology, Revenue Operations, or a related technical field.
  • Deep expertise with Salesforce, Marketo, and enterprise MarTech platforms — you've owned platform architecture, not just campaign execution.
  • Experience with marketing data architecture, system integrations, APIs, SQL, and troubleshooting complex data flows.
  • Experience designing segmentation, lifecycle, lead routing, and marketing automation architectures at scale.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and operating a reverse ETL or CDP platform.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms (Snowflake or equivalent), data warehouse-to-MAP sync architectures, and AI-enabled marketing technologies.
  • Experience partnering with GTM Engineering, Data Engineering, or Product Engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.

Core Competencies

  • Strong systems-thinking and technical problem-solving skills — you see how field-level decisions upstream cascade into downstream reporting and activation.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex data and integration challenges across multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • MarTech rationalization mindset: you evaluate tools against cost, utilization, and strategic fit, not just capability.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills.

Snowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth. We are looking for people who share our values, challenge ordinary thinking, and push the pace of innovation while building a future for themselves and Snowflake.
