Drive seamless integration and robust performance of WiFi and Bluetooth solutions in wearable devices as the Firmware Team Representative for the APAC region. Leverage your deep technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration skills to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize firmware and hardware issues, ensuring the smooth interface between internal engineering teams and external vendors like Qualcomm.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between cross-functional teams (RF, Antenna, Validation, BSP, connectivity software) and external vendors to expedite triage and resolution of hardware integration and production issues.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve WiFi/BT chipset issues by utilizing log analysis tools such as Logcat, dmesg, and QXDM.
- Manage NVM and BDF modifications as well as firmware integration within Qualcomm WiFi/BT platforms for wearable devices.
- Direct technical engagement with semiconductor vendors, including Qualcomm, to ensure optimal device performance and reliable feature delivery.
- Support engineering operations in contract manufacturing factories and labs, overseeing compliance with project requirements and schedules.
- Develop, modify, and use scripting or automation tools (Python, C/C++, or equivalent) for on-device diagnostics and factory test environments.
- Assist with RF bring-up, validation, and certification-related processes as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise with Qualcomm WiFi/BT chipset architectures and associated development ecosystems.
- Hands-on proficiency in NVM and BDF modification, and firmware integration specifically for Qualcomm wireless platforms.
- Advanced experience in log data acquisition and analysis using Logcat, dmesg, QXDM, or similar diagnostic tools.
- Practical knowledge of Python and C/C++ for automation, debugging, or tooling in device or factory environments.
- Experience supporting RF hardware bring-up, validation, and/or wireless certification (e.g., SAR) during production.
- Proven ability to provide on-site technical support in manufacturing or laboratory settings.
- Strong technical communication and coordination capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Qualcomm antenna tuner technologies and related tuning workflows.
- Exposure to SAR management, smart transmit solutions, or advanced coexistence features used in wearable wireless communication.
- Experience driving joint investigations and technical escalations between ODMs, CM partners, and chip vendors.
- Advanced proficiency in developing or maintaining production-level factory test tools and workflows.
