Overall purpose of role

  • Work as a C++ Senior Developer on projects for the FX team as defined by business requirements and prioritization.
  • You will work on complex, business critical applications, contribute to technical direction, collaborating closely with product, QA, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain high quality C++ applications.
  • Own complex features end to end.
  • Write efficient, well documented, and maintainable code aligned with modern C++ standards.
  • Participate in architecture and design discussions, challenging assumptions where needed.
  • Debug and resolve complex performance, memory, and concurrency issues.
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (product, QA, DevOps, support).

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have extensive experience of writing multithreaded C++ applications and Relational Databases.
  • Have worked on multi-tier enterprise systems which have a high frequency messaging element.
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Excellent knowledge of standard development and build tools, e.g. GIT, TeamCity, GitLab etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and principles
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl, ksh, bash or sh).
  • Full-lifecycle development of at least 1 large commercial system, with ideal candidate focusing on significant development of high-frequency trading or pricing systems
