Provide expert Windows-based server and endpoint support, ensuring stable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure while performing basic SQL Server DBA tasks, Citrix administration (beneficial), certificate management, and day-to-day ITIL-driven incident, reuqest and change management.
Core Responsibilities: Windows OS Support
- Install, configure, support and maintain Windows Server (2019/2022) in virtual environment (VMware).
- Apply patches, updates, and security hardening in line with BNP Paribas policies.
- Troubleshoot OS-level issues (crashes, performance bottlenecks, boot failures, etc.).
- Advanced PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration management, and remediation
- Strong grasp of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services
SQL Server (Basic DBA)
- Perform routine database backups, restores, and integrity checks on demand.
- Monitor SQL Server performance, identify and resolve basic issues (blocking, slow queries, log growth).
- Apply patches and security updates; assist with basic tuning and capacity planning.
Daily Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor system events, alerts, and logs (Dynatrace, Nagios, etc.) for anomalies.
- Manage the ServiceNow ticket queue: prioritize, assign, and resolve incidents/requests.
- Escalate critical issues to specialized teams (cybersecurity, networking, storage, etc.).
Certificate Management
- Renew, deploy, and revoke SSL/TLS certificates for internal/external systems using Certis (or equivalent).
- Monitor certificate expiration and collaborate with application teams to avoid service impact.
Citrix Systems Support (Beneficial)
- Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) environments.
- Resolve user session issues (logon failures, latency, profile corruption).
- Maintain Citrix infrastructure: Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Gateways, Licensing, and related components.
Incident & Change Management (ITIL)
- Follow ITIL processes for incident resolution, problem management, and change implementation.
- Document root causes, solutions, and post-incident reviews in the central knowledgebase.
- Ensure SLA compliance for response and resolution times.
Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration
- Document configurations, procedures, and run-books; contribute to the central knowledge base.
- Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the infrastructure team.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years hands-on experience administering Windows Server and client OS in a medium-to-large enterprise.
- Fluent English spoken and written (min. level B2)
- Strong grasp of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting proficiency
- Experience with virtualization (VMware) and storage (SAN/NAS).
- Basic SQL Server DBA skills: backups/restores, integrity checks, performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with patch-management tools and monitoring solutions (Dynatrace, Nagios, etc.).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- ITIL Foundation awareness (incident, request, change, problem management).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Axway Transfer CFT administration
- Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) administration.
- Scripting experience in Python or Bash for cross-platform automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
