Hybrid Lokation: Prague (Pankrác) Language: English required, Czech an advantage

Required:
- Experience with building Java Spring Boot backend applications.
- Experience with JDBC, messaging middleware and REST APIs.
- Able to review other colleagues’ code.
- Willing to deliver not just application changes, but also design and implement test automation. The aim is not to rely on manual testing.
- Their English needs to be fluent enough to be able to participate in phone / Teams calls without issues.
Other:
- Experience with deploying applications into Kubernetes, Openshift or other cloud is a plus.
- Linux scripting experience is a plus.
- Experience with the domain – FX trading and SWIFT payments is a plus.
About the project:
- It is not a green field project, the application has been around for about five years.
- New features are being developed continuously, it is not a maintenance role.
- The domain is FX and international payments. The application is used internally and by Barclays’ B2B clients (not end-users).
- The application is developed in Prague, but we work with teams both in London and Pune. Most of the stakeholders are based in London.
