Job description
Last Energy seeks a commercially focused professional with power or energy sector experience to help drive capital formation, investor engagement, and project-level financial initiatives. This role will support key strategic financing efforts and gradually take ownership of end-to-end commercial opportunities. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to build lasting relationships across investors and partners.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Support project capital raising activities, including relationship management, investor due diligence and outreach efforts
- Oversee and refine project financial models, including plant cost models, working closely with engineering and finance teams
- Support and eventually lead dedicated project-level capital raises (development facilities, grants, and project finance)
- Execute special commercial initiatives from structuring to close
- Collaborate across departments to align financial, technical, and strategic objectives
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial, financial, or investment roles within the power, energy, or infrastructure sectors
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both investors and technical stakeholders
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple dynamic projects
- Comfortable operating in a high-growth, startup-style environment that requires initiative and adaptability
- Based in or willing to relocate to London, UK
