Commercial City Manager - Milton Keynes & Northampton

In this role, you’ll help us build relationships with restaurant partners across Milton Keynes & Northampton, using data-driven insights to improve our customer proposition and accelerate local growth. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining the Regional Growth team. We are responsible for the commercial output of our mid-market restaurant partners across the UK and Ireland, focusing on bringing the best local selection to our customers and unlocking growth opportunities for our restaurants. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:
- Act as Local Expert: Serve as the face of Deliveroo for Milton Keynes & Northampton, mapping out local sales strategies to close value proposition gaps and improve customer selection.
- Manage Top Restaurant Partnerships: Lead account management and commercial negotiations for key partners, optimising their operational and platform performance for growth.
- Drive Data-Led Insights: Analyse restaurant and area performance metrics neighbourhood by neighbourhood to refine the customer offering and guide strategic decisions.
- Acquire and Onboard Top Local Brands: Identify, pitch, and sign up local favourite restaurants to Deliveroo, setting them up for long-term commercial success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local Account Managers, Operations, and Marketing teams to support local hero brands and maximize marketing campaign participation.
What You’ll Need to Thrive
Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:
- Commercial & Relationship Management: Proven experience in account management, sales, or strategy roles with a target-oriented mindset.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong capability to interpret area performance metrics and restaurant data to uncover growth opportunities and make strategic improvements.
- Negotiation & Stakeholder Leadership: Ability to manage complex commercial conversations and build long-lasting relationships with restaurant partners.
- Strategic Territory Planning: Skill in identifying market gaps, understanding competitive dynamics, and building structured plans to boost market share.
- Mobility & Flexibility: Capability to balance field-based territory visits (2-3 days per week) with office/home working; holds a valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
