About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to join the Securities Lending Technology team.

The team is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications supporting Prime Brokerage and Securities Financing activities, using technologies including Java, Scala and Angular.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from initial requirements and design through development, testing and deployment to production.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java technologies
• Own the full SDLC, from requirements and inception through to production deployment
• Work closely with business stakeholders and other technology teams to understand and deliver business requirements
• Develop new functionality while ensuring scalability, stability and high-quality delivery
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and software engineering best practices
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Take ownership of changes throughout the development and release lifecycle
• Work independently across multiple applications and teams while effectively collaborating with colleagues
• Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders and technology teams
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams across multiple regions
• Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java application development
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools such as:
• JUnit
• JBehave
• Cucumber
• Concordion
• Knowledge of relational databases such as DB2 or Sybase
• Working knowledge of Git / Bitbucket, Jenkins and Unix
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working effectively with global and geographically distributed teams
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work independently
• Strong client and business service focus

Nice to Have:

• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and Angular
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Previous experience in financial services / capital markets
• Previous full-stack development experience
• Practical experience with TDD and software engineering best practices
