Software Development Lead
Job requirements Experience Range: With at least 4 to 6 years of full-stack software development experience, including significant expertise in Java, microservices, API development, and modern UI frameworks such as React JS. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust upload and orchestration engines using AWS SDKs to transfer extracted historic data to S3, implementing nested key structures and rate-limited parallel uploads.
- Integrate image handling capabilities in the upload pipeline, ensuring accurate packaging and transfer of TIFF images alongside Swift/XML/JSON payloads and metadata files.
- Develop backend APIs in Python and Java to connect extraction layers, metadata generation, and S3 upload steps into a cohesive, batchable pipeline.
- Build and maintain a React JS-based self-service UI for operations and engineering teams to trigger, schedule, and monitor batch extraction jobs, including displaying reconciliation results.
- Configure and support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) for extraction and UI services using Jenkins.
- Implement robust exception handling and re-trigger logic for failed or partial batch uploads, coordinating with Data Quality Engineers.
- Optimize production-scale batch execution, focusing on performance tuning and scalability of the upload engine for large historic volumes. Required Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Java for backend and microservices development
- Strong experience with Python for API and pipeline integration
- Expertise in React JS for building interactive user interfaces
- In-depth knowledge of Spring Core and Spring Boot frameworks
- Experience with Hibernate for ORM and data access
- Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS and MySQL for database integration
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation
- Practical experience with Docker for containerization
- Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Hands-on experience with AWS SDKs, specifically S3, for large-volume object uploads
- Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD automation
