Job description

GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Manage assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare supporting schedules and account reconciliations, including prepaid accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Support expense reporting and purchase requisition processes
  • Assist with accounts payable activities as needed
  • Participate in year-end audit preparation and special projects
  • Help improve accounting processes and support accurate financial reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–3 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software
  • Experience with Concur, Great Plains, or Business Central preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
