As a Technical Recruiter at Cursor, you’ll be a key driver of our company growth by identifying, engaging, and hiring top technical talent. You will partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to understand our hiring needs, design effective recruiting strategies, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, feedback management, and offer negotiations
- Collaborate with hiring managers to develop and execute strategic hiring plans
- Proactively identify passive candidates through creative sourcing strategies and talent mapping
- Ensure a world-class candidate experience through every stage of the process
- Track key recruiting metrics to drive continual process optimization
- Partner with People Operations and cross-functional teams to support headcount planning and employer branding initiatives
- Represent Cursor at recruiting events and in the broader tech community
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles, ideally at a high-growth and talent dense high growth startup.
- A strategic over volume recruiting mindset
- Deep understanding of technical skills, market trends, and the unique challenges of hiring top engineering and product talent
- Proven ability to build strong, consultative partnerships with hiring managers and senior leadership
- Excellent communication, organization, and candidate assessment skills
- Highly driven, self-starter with a data-driven, results-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in an incredibly fast-paced, rapidly scaling environment

- Experience recruiting for roles in AI, developer tools, or cybersecurity
- Previous experience with employer branding or diversity recruiting initiatives
LOCATION
This is an in-office role ideally based out of our San Francisco office and secondarily, our NY office.
