Job description

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drive everything we do. Our Commercial team sits at the centre of Deliveroo’s marketplace—shaping how we serve restaurants, grocers, and new verticals worldwide. From negotiating key partnerships to unlocking new revenue streams and crafting data-led growth strategies, we take on big challenges that move the business forward. If you thrive in fast-paced, commercial environments and want to influence the future of a global brand—this is the team for you.

We’re looking for a Commercial Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our local growth, leading high-impact commercial projects and using data-driven insights to refine our Consumer Value Proposition (CVP).

What You’ll Be Doing

You will lead the end-to-end execution of strategic initiatives, acting as the connective tissue between Marketing, Operations, and Account Management. This role is a blend of project management, commercial strategy, and data analysis.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • End-to-End Project Leadership: Lead key commercial projects from planning and delivery tracking to post-implementation reviews.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the primary bridge between Marketing, Operations, and Account Management to ensure campaigns and shared priorities are executed seamlessly.
  • CVP Optimization: Use data and analysis to refine our Consumer Value Proposition, focusing on selection, affordability, and overall customer experience.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor moves and market trends to inform strategic planning and stay ahead of the curve.
  • Strategic Reporting: Own the reporting for growth and CVP metrics, providing the business with the data needed for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Go-To-Market Execution: Lead the local rollout of cross-functional initiatives, ensuring effective coordination across all departments.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Strategic Experience: Minimum 4 years of work experience, with at least 2 years specifically in project management or commercial strategy roles.
  • Analytical Prowess: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and a track record of using data to drive commercial outcomes. Experience with Looker is a strong plus.
  • Commercial Mindset: A pragmatic problem-solver who can navigate ambiguity and prioritise effectively in a high-growth environment.
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and coordinate complex teams.
  • Financial Literacy: A good understanding of P&L dynamics and financial modelling is preferred.
  • Industry Background: Experience in marketplace, consumer tech, FMCG, or consulting is highly desirable.
