SwissBorg· Europe·
Role details
Job description
SwissBorg is building the future of crypto wealth management, making investing more accessible, transparent and intuitive for everyone. At the core of our platform is the Meta-Exchange (MEX). This smart routing engine connects multiple exchanges and liquidity sources to deliver optimal execution in a single, seamless app.
We're Swiss-engineered, regulated, and trusted by nearly one million users managing over $1B in crypto assets. But beyond the numbers, what drives us is the people behind every wallet and a commitment to continuously improving how they experience and interact with crypto.
Join us!
We are looking for a Controlling Intern to join our Finance team for a one-year, fully remote internship. You will work closely with the team on budgeting, reporting and financial analysis, and gain hands-on experience of how finance supports decision-making in a fast-growing, regulated crypto company.
You will:
- Support the monthly financial consolidation: prepare and reconcile inputs and check that figures tie out.
- Review and approve expense requests against policy and budget, flagging anomalies and following up with requesters.
- Track actuals against budget, keep reporting up to date and highlight variances to the team.
- Run cost analyses and deep dives on specific spend areas, turning the numbers into clear findings and recommendations.
- Take a special focus on HR controlling (headcount, payroll and people-related costs) and software spend (licences, subscriptions and vendor costs).
- Control credit card expenses
- Help improve controlling processes along the way.
About you:
- Comfortable with numbers and spreadsheets, and at ease drawing conclusions from data.
- Meticulous: you catch the small discrepancy before it becomes a big one.
- Proactive: you take initiative, ask questions and propose solutions
- Eager to learn and open to feedback.
- Fluent in English; previous experience in finance, accounting or controlling is a plus but not required.
- Curious about AI and automation tools.
- Must have an interest in crypto
- Currently studying, or about to complete, a degree in economics, finance, business or a related field
